Invited once again to Scotland to represent Canada during the International Youth Festival of Music & Dance in Inverness, Scotland, along with 11 other countries. A series of 29 concerts were presented throughout the highlands and the main shows were held in the beautiful Eden Court Theatre in Inverness. Friendships were renewed with members of the Ross-Shire Folk of Scotland and new friendships were made with all countries, but in particular with the group from Israel in the Middle East. To this day some members are still in contact with their Middle Eastern friends. A lot of sightseeing was enjoyed, especially the Loch Ness boat tour and the visit to the Caithness Glass Factory. Despite the rigorous schedule of concerts,banquets,dances,parades, press conferences and radio shows, there was still time to shop!!
