Shendle Smith has been dancing since the age of 4 and teaching dance for over 15 years. She is trained in Highland Dance, Cape Breton Step Dance, Celtic Step Dance, Scottish Ballet, Hip Hop and Liturgical. She has performed and conducted workshops across Canada, throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Shendle has also directed and performed in school & university dance teams and has received many dance awards over the years, including choreography and school cheerleading.

Shendle has appeared in the award-winning movie "Margaret's Museum" and has performed with such acclaimed musicians as Ashley MacIsaac, Natalie McMaster, Rita MacNeil and the Barra McNeils. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science Degree from Cape Breton University and is available to teach dance workshops and private lessons in Ottawa where she currently resides.
