Guest Instructor: SDTA Examiner, Sandra Bald Jones, formerly from Scotland, now living in Hamilton, Ontario. In her competitive years she was two time World Highland Dance Champion. Mrs.Jones has trained many champion & world champion dancers. She has also trained & mentored professionally, local teacher & school owner for over 50 years, Eileen Pottie Forrester for both teachers examinations as well as successfully achieving her Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing Adjudicators Certification in 1989.
~~It is certainly a privilege to attend a workshop or lecture under Mrs. Jones direction. Many dancers have not been afforded this opportunity!!

Since SDTA Dance Exams are taking place in Sydney on April 29th & 30th, this is the reason we are having the workshop on Sunday which is not the greatest for travelers, however it seemed appropriate to add the workshop since Mrs. Jones is in the area, a no brainer!
For those who have entered competitions you know where to access the entry forms for competitions. Those who have never entered a competition please press on link below, you will find the Maritime Events list, scroll down & you will see our Spring Fling, open it & print off for future reference.
We hope as many dancers from Primary to Premier will be able to attend. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet other dancers & hone your technical skills.
Extra water & Protein Snacks will be available.
Please ensure you wear appropriate clothing, shorts (no jean shorts) aboyne practice skirts (if you know any of the national dances i.e. Scottish Lilt), ghillies, practice swords, hair up in pony tail, no jewellery, name tag on left side of chest

Upon arrival to New Dawn Centre for Social Innovation, please use main entrance & gym is just ahead. There will be appropriate signage as well as designated support staff to answer any questions you may have.
