Adult Dance Workshop Series 1: Beginner Step Dance with Shannon

Of course dance has so many physical benefits to it such as improved condition of your heart and lungs, increased muscular strength, improved muscle tone and strength, weight management, better coordination, and so much more! As equally important, physical movement of dance helps reduce stress, anxiety and depression, and dancing with others also helps us feel more connected and social. Dance classes encourage social bonds and friendships which are key factors in improving our mood and mental health. Our Adult workshops are truly a hit and thhis year, we wanted to expand upon our offerings!

How does this evening work?:  We will begin evening upstairs in The Kastle with a Beginnier Step Dance Workshop, with Shannon Forrester, starting off with the basics of 'Strathspeys and Reels and ending with a few square sets.  Take home instructional videos of all steps permitted and included. Perfect for Adults of all ages and fitness levels, but at a beginner level.  The Workshop will run from 6-7:15pm.  Ages 19+

Immediately following, we will head down to The Krypt for our post workshop social.  The bar will be open and you can put your feet up and enjoy the calm surroundings of The Krypt while mingling with new friends and building common connections.

Space is limited with a minimum number required. Price is $25 (tax included) for the experience which includes the workshop + take home instructional videos + Social. Online ticket purchases only. Adults 19+
