Shellie has been dancing and performing for over 20 years, and she has competed and performed extensively throughout Cape Breton and mainland Nova Scotia.
Shellie’s dance training includes Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Rhythmic Gymnastics, and Cabaret under the guidance of her teacher the late Marie Nugent of Dance Interplay. Shellie was also one of Marie’s dance instructors for many years at her school. Shellie offers instruction within our specialized programs and has also just completed her third year of dance here at the Forrester School of Dance and expanding her dance training in our core Highland and Step Dance programs. Shellie has also guest performed and choreographed with the Forrester Dance Company and will continue to do so this upcoming season!

In addition, Shellie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Cape Breton University and, by day, is employed in the financial industry. She is also a volunteer and presenter for the local Junior Achievement Chapter of Cape Breton.
